I've been quiet. I apologize? The silence started because was busy and has continued thus because I'm feeling down. Not for any particualr reason, and not, like, depressed, just -- down. Sluggish. Disappointed with myself. Tired. I would bet money that a good chunk of it is the weather, and a side effect of the weather is that I haven't been going to the gym, which also makes me sluggish. I know once it warms up a bit I'll feel better, I always do. It's just a long road there, you know?

Speaking of working out, I want to change up my routine. Does anyone know a lot about working out, or know any communities, etc. where I can get some advice as to what I should be doing with regards to diet/exercise with my new fitness goals?

I'm on vacation until Feb. 25th. I managed to get all the laundry done today as well as the bedsheets and finally got the bathroom done (with help from my husband). I've been working on an About Me entry and a sort of Who's Who entry for LJ for my excursions to [livejournal.com profile] add_me, and I've been working on my charms. These are the ones I've done in the last two days, charms based on sexual and gender identities and tangentially related such things.

From L to R: polyamory, trans*, gay/lesbian, and asexual. I'm currently waiting on bisexual, agender/neutrois, demisexual, and genderqueer to dry. I'm also trying to find something I can do for intersex, polysexual, and genderfluid. Suggestions for other genders and sexual identities to include are welcome.

I also opened up a Storenvy account to sell my charms, but it'll be closed for a while, until I get a few of each charms finished.

Hopefully I'll be in a more energetic/positive mood tomorrow. One can only hope.

I'd like to hear more about these charms that you make. :) What inspired you to start making them?

What is your current fitness routine/what are your fitness goals? I could seriously talk for hours about weight-lifting for fitness. If that is something you have any interest in whatsoever I can PM you some links/info. I am currently trying to get back into lifting, because when I felt strong, I felt GOOD.

Basically I wanted something to do with my hands that wasn't crochet, and I love cutesy, kitschy jewelry. I've made a few "generic" cupcakes, and then just thought it'd be fun to do something themed. An interest and involvement in the GLBTQIA community made the chosen theme an obvious one :) I just wish the pics weren't so crappy.

I've been focusing on weight loss for the last two years, but now that I'm hovering within five pounds of my goal weight on any given day, I want to move onto strength training and lessen (but not eliminate, obviously) the cardio regiment. I'm a Planet Fitness member, and that's where I work out... I've used the machines before, but I'm trying to figure out what exactly I want out of them. I'm not really concerned with my legs, I do a lot of running and my legs are pretty strong and fairly well-toned, I want to do something about my core (esp. toning my abs) and my arms.

Thanks! Wish the pics were better, going to have to practice taking nice ones before I open the storefront.

active.com has some good advice. I think it is the weather, I just have to go out to the living room and pop in a yoga dvd to work out, but that would mean getting out of my bathrobe and putting away my knitting, and it's soooo comfortable knitting while wrapped in a bathrobe.

I'll have to look. I'm trying to move to more of a balance between weights/strength and cardio and keep hearing conflicting things about what I should be doing (like, one source says doing cardio and weights in the same exercise can inhibit you actually building strength? But also you should do strength and cardio together because the strength training boosts your cardio workout. WTF?)
