NANOWRIMO

WHO IS DOING NANOWRIMO THIS YEAR?

And who is actually planning for it instead of winging it come November 1st?

And who can tell me how to go about doing so myself, since I suck at anything resembling organization?

I'm doing nano! Me! Me!

I have no clue how to plan!

But I'm trying! Whoo-

That makes two of us!

I'm going to try to think of the ideas that have popped into my head lately and outline them. Maybe something will come of that.

I don't plan well, so I'm not going to try to plan rigidly. The point is to have fun and write, right??

Most of my friends try to have a daily word count goal. Some people plot, some people write whatever randomly comes out.

I may do it, but more to get myself motivated to write, than to hammer something out.

Generally, wordcount goal is at least 1667/day, since that will lead you to 50k by the end of the month. I try to get as many words per day as possible.

I've never planned before; even in school, I was poor at outlining, and I've never, ever drafted a paper before - my first draft was my final, and it always worked well for me. But I'm more suited to flash fiction, and I'm wondering if other planning would help me novel better.
