So, this has been... um, a week. Yes. Not an outstanding week, not in any really positive - or negative - ways, so I suppose that's something to be grateful for. No soaring highs, but no depressing lows, either. Work has been steady and consistent, things not progressing hugely (though overall, good progress has been made), but going generally well, personal life fairly satisfactory, though my house is a ROYAL mess (which I hope to rectify in the morning), and I'm pleasantly tipsy (after a rather large pomegranate margarita and a beer) from a holiday dinner with my mom, dad, Raeanne, and her fiance at one of our favorite restaurants/lounges. Tomorrow is Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows and, oh my God, every source I've heard from are shouting about the epic homo-erotic bromance from hill and dale.

To paraphrase something I read on Tumblr, "Game of Shadows is as homoerotic as gay porn wishes it was."

To that end, I give you RDJ and Jude Law on Graham Norton (AND EDDIE IZZARD WAS ON TOO, WTF, WHY DID I MISS THIS):

So looking forward to this, I need more homoeroticism in my life (fuck, who doesn't?) and if it can come in the form of RDJ and Jude Law in a steampunk-inspired Sherlock Holmes pastiche, then I'LL TAKE IT.

I've been having some serious thinky-thoughts lately about things, primarily about what I might want to do post 'this' job, and I'd like to devote an actual, thoughtful post to that, so blogging that while tipsy is not ideal. Perhaps tomorrow.

Has anyone else seen the new Sherlock Holmes? Thoughts??

AAAAAAH! So, obvs. I've seen BBC's Sherlock like a million and a half times, but I still wish I got BBC America because just... ugh, I keep HOPING we'll get a Series Two trailer soon!!!

So, will this be your first time seeing it? :D I have to let me know what you think!

Also, Game of Shadows was SO HETEROSEXUAL.

Oh my bad, I was talking about Graham Norton! He comes on at 10PM Saturdays and I was just so stoked for all the guests he had lined up! :D

Buuuuttt I did watch Sherlock on instant watch a couple of weeks ago. It was deliciously amazing and I'm on pins and needles like everyone else waiting for the next season!

GAMES OF SHADOWS IS MY NEW OBSESSION. I was straight snapshotting in my mind all the icons that could arise from that one scene with Holmes and Watson in the train compartment -- you know the one I mean. The need to fan myself throughout that movie was comical. Oh subtext, how I love thee.

When Holmes said, "It's so overt, it's covert," all I could think was, "That... there has to be something to be said about the slash fandom IN THAT LINE." I love Jude and Robert all on their own, but OH MY GOD, I love the love they have for one another, it's so prosh.

My friend Mel and I were both trying desperately not to choke to death on our own giggles. She and I kept turning to each other going, "SOOOO HETEROSEXUAL!!" and "IS THIS EVEN REAL? WHAT ARE THEY EVEN DOING?"
