afterallthistime: (what's my perversion?)
After posting the other day, I did in fact go online and seek out my "whaaaat-the-fuck-am-I-doing?" pairing. There's lamentably little, guys. So, so little. Here's what I've found and read; summaries by the respective authors.

World's Worst Myth-Match, by Growly. Aahz/Skeeve, G. After much goading, Aahz comes up with a plan to help Skeeve get out of marrying Queen Hemlock.

Myth-enchanted, by Growly. Aahz/Skeeve, PG-13. Done to Peja's first-line challenge...."I wasn't thinking about sex ...."

Mything You, by Growly. Aahz/Skeeve, PG. Skeeve thinks about Aahz after his partner leaves in a huff.

Myth-Use, by L Bradford. Aahz/Skeeve, G/PGish. In which our hero encounters an alien world, a stable, gin, and more angst than you can shake a stick at, though not entirely in that order.

Mythed But Not Forgotten, by L Bradford. Aahz/Skeeve, G. Sequel to Myth-Use, set during Myth-Chief. Skeeve deals with coming back. Relationships get complicated, but weren't they already? The Bazaar on Deva is a scene of staid interest in the proceedings. Yeah, right.

Sexual Myth-Conduct, by Growly. Aahz/Skeeve, NC-17. After many myth-haps, the pair finally gets down to the dirty business of relieving Skeeve of his virginity. Basically a PWP.

Just for the record, the books are a lot of fun if you've never read them, and you totally should.

I'm pretty sure I have a serious, legit problem guys.

People throw around the phrase "slash goggles," when they talk about people who seemingly ship m/m anything and everything. "Looking at x through your slash goggles," they'll say. Well, slash goggle I have not.

SLASH RETINAS, GUYS. I HAS THEM.

I seriously, seriously, do NOT go into things looking for a pairing. I don't. Hand to God, and I know you won't believe me, but I know it's true. But I inevitably emerge going, "Hmm," and suddenly I'm on Google searching "x/y" and then going, "whaaaaat-the-fuck-am-I-doing?!"

So lately I've been reading Robert Asprin's Myth Adventure books.

...You guys fill in the rest.
