Aug. 8th, 2011 02:50 pm Tumblr has never lead me astray. Well... it's lead me astray in terms of distracting me from the things I really ought to be doing, but it's never let me down, in that whatever it's distracted me with has always been infinitely more enjoyable than what it's distracting me from. Generally, these distractions have come in the guise of fandom detritus - memes, infintiely reblogged (but infinitely rebloggable) photos, quotes, etc. Last night, it introduced me to a musical artist called Bee-Bop, of a project/band called The Doll Lab. Aside from her (their?) Facebook page, there is virtually no information out there I can find about her; according to the Discussion thread onthe Facebook board, the songs featured in this video are not yet released, though they will be (soon, I hope). She says she is as yet (well, as of March-ish) unsigned, though her collaborator/prodicer is signed with Roc Nation. If anyone has any information on The Doll Lab, lease tell me!
All three songs are eerie and lovely, though "The Man on the Bench" has all the makings of being the most beautiful song I've heard this year.
